Is this a new development or something ongoing? Does it happen at all positions of the throttle beyond idle or only at wide open throttle? Do you notice backfiring after it cuts out? What about popping on deceleration?

Yes, it should be as l had the carb rebuild by a proper motorcycle mechanic, but l will take the bowl off and check all is ok inside there

As Mezo said, check and clean all negative / black wire connections. can you feel the flasher unit 'ticking', check all the light bulbs are ok, check if the switch is actually operational
