Seemed most likely thread to ask the question:

1985 34L. 28L tank.

What is the normal reserve level? ie how many liters left when you need to switch to reserve?
What is a realistic number of liters a person can fit in one of these lovely tanks? (normal fill amount)

I have found some on ebay. Some priced better than others.
One design looks near idential, but only 4 wire. Looking at the schematics ...

Alright then, some testing done:

Stators measure within specification.

The output of the stator is 15v at idle, and up to 55vac at 2500, didn't go higher as the wife is working from home. :)

Checked resistance of regulator to frame. Added wire and measured less than 1 ohm.

So no danger in taking readings from the stator and regulator while unplugged. Ok.
