I went for the £16 option being a cheapo, it works fine after 700 miles.

You do hear stories of the cheap ones lasting only a few thousand miles.

I reckon (though I am usually wrong) its all down to quality control, you buy an expensive one you get excellent quality control, you buy a cheap one ...

Just started my engine after a stator rewind to find out it know has a nice screeching noise coming from the engine at the start of the exhaust stroke, probably what burnt the stator out.

Had the head off and it looks good ...

Good to know about Kedo being able to replace the Pick-up coils.

Founds a fella on ebay in the uk who rewinds the source coil for £80 quid all in.

Looks like he does the charging coils too.

Just an update:

Went around to my mates this morning who has a xt550 which sparks and did some measuring of his coils and took mine and compared reading, also took my Clymer manual......

Everything on my coils matched his by 2-3ohms

Its the pickup that has gone reading 246ohms....

Just checked the Kedo website, "ohne Impulsgeberspule" - Not the pulse generator.

Will have to just keep on looking.

Thinking about a TT600 pickup, same era, maybe same??? Any thoughts anyone?
