3 months since the last post..
I took Motorangs advice and upgraded the carrier a bit, adding the connection tube to the back. Also another connection point to the passenger footpeg mount via a hose clamp. All together it seems really nice and sturdy now, it should be perfect to fit the Kriega OS ...

Re: Mods and upgrades for a 55W
Yes for the front I got the Wirth progressive springs(just because Kedo didn't have YSS springs for 1VJ). It was alot harder to close the fork caps due to the stiffness of the springs, once installed, pushing the first few centimeters felt almost the same as on stock springs, just slightly harder ...

Re: Mods and upgrades for a 55W
Hi Strobeck,
I was just on the same path as you and could't find any cheaper options in EU, KEDO had the best price for both front springs and rear shock, it came to 500EUR total, including shipping.
Installation was very straight forward, only the rear shock required some extra work(removing the ...

Re: Choke Plunger Recommendations
Been there with my 1VJ and indeed the price for this knob is outright criminal. Since I had issues with the carb as well I decided to buy a 2KF carb which had the knob attached and left me a spare carb in case something breaks down.
As for operating the choke, the knob attached to the carbie is ...

Fork springs 1VJ vs 3AJ
Hey,
Does anyone know what’s the difference between 1vj and 3aj front fork springs?
I have a possibility to buy progressive springs on a bargain, but the package states xt600z 88+. I know they have different part numbers per catalogue, but not sure of the physical differences and ...

Re: Ott's 1VJ
I shorted the sidestand switch and the problem with bike dying when putting in 1st gear dissapeared.
Also turned the idle screw out to 3.5 turns and it helped the cold starting as well, still happining though.
Had some time during the weekend so managed to sort out the pannier/bag rack. I made the ...
