Hi All

i have a japanese XT600 1983, with frame numbner 39f. Can anyone tell me if this is same as the european 34L or 43F type XT?

I think there were a number of changes on the later 43F and trying to work out if mine is a 34L, 43F or a mixture of the two?

Anybody know where i can get the headlamp holder from in UK, part number 3AJ-8431U-00 Its the small plastic thing the ball sits into in the headlamp frame. Must be somewhere, but that partnumber doesent come up with anything in UK starangly.

So found a 1984 xt600 1VJ in white and gold wheels. lovely unmolested, original condition, and snapped it up. Very excited! It does need a pair of red fork gaiters / boots as the originals have perished and split. Anyone recommend where to get a good set from, that will last? I know there are loads ...

Yea i did think about buying from Europe, as UK choice seems quite limited, plus i have a lorry and the time to make a trip of it. where's the best place to look online for France and Italy?
