That's interesting Andy, thanks. I have an 1986 43F (European market) over here in France and someone offered me a brand new OEM 34L CDI and stator, so was just checking as they were practically free.

I also have a 1990 3TB so an aware of the TCI issues

I've been offered both in immaculate condition and don't want to pass them up if they're useful.

Sorry guys and gals, another 43F question.

My 1986 bike has a frame number of 43F-045914. Obviously it's too old to have the standard 17 digit VIN number.

I wondered if there was any way to trace it's history with the reference number that I have to hand?
