my 1986 43F is running fine in the low rpm. but in high rpm it starts stuttering.
I already cleaned the carburettor, so this should not be the problem

Re: 43F wont start after carb cleaning and air filter replac
thanks for your reply
the problem was, well, embarassingly simple, but strange.
for some reason the float chamber wasnt getting any fuel. the float valve was stuck. after disassembling and reassembling the float valve wasnt stuck anymore... strange
but working now

43F wont start after carb cleaning and air filter replacemen
I completely disassembled and cleaned the carb but my 1986 43F just wont start.
I also added a K&N airbox filter.
Could it be because of the increased airflow?
Do I need to adjust the carb?
Needless to say it was quite cold outside...

oil tank alternatives?
Hey all
I am converting my Xt600 43F to a classic scrambler.
The original oil tank is not really appealing to the eye. Are there any alternatives?

Re: XT600 1986 Carb throttle valve needle placement
hey thanks for your reply!
the pdf seems not much use, because my carb looks different.
and also, the manual says the washer is between the plate (throttle valve) and the circlip

I seriuosly have no clue hats going on here

XT600 1986 Carb throttle valve needle placement
Hey y'all
Brit calling in from Zurich. New to this forum and also new to the XT world.
I bought a 1986 XT600 43F for cheap and reviving it.
I took apart the carburetor and cleaned it so it looks (and feels) brand spanking new (well almost)
I have a problem with the needle and its placement in the ...
