Hello
Background: Seeping a bit of oil between cylinder and block after ridden hard so cylinder is coming off in couple of months when the snow comes. Might have some blowby also since I feel it keeps pushing too much oil from the breather even though I've been pretty careful not to overfill. Have ...

Re: Stand recommendations + 1vj at Pyrenees
I don't think getting the bike on the center stand would be an issue. Have not measured the ground clearance, but the one that I linked to starts from 300mm and lifts to 400mm.
But now that I think about it maybe the rear swing arm stand would be more practical since I'm planning on pulling the ...

Stand recommendations + 1vj at Pyrenees
Hi
What kind of stand would you guys recommend for lifting the rear of the bike? As I see it there are basically 2 options: one that lifts from the center of the bike or one that lifts from the rear fork. Which is better?
Previous bikes I've had usually had an integrated center stand which is ...

Re: New user, help identifying instrument panel.
Inline adapter would seem easy to setup.
So the best place would be the line between tank and engine? Or between the engine and oil cooler? Or after the oil cooler?
I guess that could be decided by selecting a sensor that that has the same resistance as the XT660 water sensor has at what ever the ...

Re: New user, help identifying instrument panel.
Would it be possible to hook it up to measure oil or cylinder head temperature? Not that it's necessary during Finnish summer, just hate to have it not working. And I might be heading to Spain during August so might be interesting to see temps for comparison.

Hi
Bought myself 1988 Yamaha X600Z 1VJ few weeks ago. I was on my way to repair my other bike which was running on three cylinders, stopped by to check this one out and drove it away. So far put 500 miles on, mostly commuting, and loving it :)
