Adjusting the mixer screw

Post by kevingrahambutler »

Took the bike for the mot on Friday passed no issues, when I start the bike there's a cloud of white smoke, the mixture screw is set to 1 3/4 turns is that right for this bike, I'm thinking it should be 1 1/4 turns, I may be wrong on both
Thanks

1.3/4 is about right if you have the correct filters , carb and jets.
Does it blow out white smoke every time.

It didn't do it when I first got it, since I've got it running right it's started to do it, There's a hot start can that stick if so would that do it, I've never had time to have a good look round with being a part/time FA coach it's our busiest time, it's putting me off from using it, tommy do you think it would do it harm to use the bike as is for a few weeks till the bad weather starts.
