xt600 43f/49L rack question

for my 86 xt600 49L I'd like to get my hands on an original style rack (preferably with the little tool box under it). but they are very hard to find.

I was wondering does the tenere rack from same year model's fit? they seem to pop up on ebay, but nothing for 43f models

Yep a hard part to find on all early XT`s not sure on the interchangeability?

I found both of my racks on Germany ebay the first from a board member i believe, XT Ollie. One had the tool box thingy and the other did not. Good luck, they are not easy to find stateside

That would be Oliver (Fred333) our friendly moderator from Hamburg who has in the past helped out members getting stuff out of Germany (some sellers refuse to post international).

You could log direct in to the German ebay site (login is the same on all ebays around the world) but then search using German (obliviously) like XT600 Gepäckablage or you can do the same on the Italian ebay XT600 Portapacchi you can save searches & get notified if a part your looking for gets listed, even on international ebay`s.

Brush up on your French & try here at Leboncoin but good luck with that.

I reckon it will, its rusty, but a great price.

Nice one, its only surface rust, sandblast & powdercoat & it will look brand new.

I'm starting up my own business making various stuff , one of the things I was looking at is racks , this one may be one of them to get a few more out there available .PM me so I can maybe gauge the interest in this or other things. I have one to use as a sample plus powdercoating setup.
