got a few frame repairs to make

looks like someone has already had a poor attempt once...

Having issues with partzilla at the moment, made a substantial order with them over a month ago and they still haven't sent it & won't give me acceptable answers.
Just went down to my local Yamaha dealer, I've previously bought heaps of parts from them, and they've turned orange & no longer sell Yamaha, can still get parts, but not at a discount, damn it.
Anyways, it's a wet ol day here in Melbourne.
Made some progress on the frame repairs.

Fashioned up a piece to weld on, the area around the rust hole was pretty thin.

I ground off the welds someone had made to attach the stud/bolt for the foot peg bracket, I put on a stud remover attached to my cordless drill, it ripped the bloody chuck off, broke the bolt holding the chuck onto the drill and came right off, so I welded a nut on and grabbed a big fuck off size shifter, and the whole stud/bolt spun with the little round threaded bit of steel inside the frame.
All the threads down here are a little bit worse for wear, so I'v gone and ordered some suitable Time Serts, 10x1.25mm.
I'll have to drill some holes and plug weld the moving bit inside the frame, I hope the Time Sert tools are strong enough to work welded steel.

I was looking someone else restoration thread and that thread is actually a nut tacked on in an inaccessible area... Can't remember their fix, you'll have to go searching, or ask others for help.

there pretty much is a nut of sorts attached to the inside, this is what it would look like inside.

Partzilla can take a while to get hold of some parts if not immediately available, what do the legends/icons indicate is happening with the items? they have always come good in the end with me.

I made the order on the 1st August, then i added to it 2 days later, they emailed saying parts would be ready on the 7th, then the 8th, then the 13th, then 1 part was NLA, then 2nd Sept and a couple of parts not available till October, which I then cancelled those parts, then they changed the availability date to the 9th of Sept, then yesterday they've moved off to shipping, so hopefully be here soon. Its not the first order I've had with them, previously hasn't been bad like this, but I've ordered through Yamaha Australia many times and it's always been much smoother than Partzilla. I just got a quote from Yamaha Australia for all the parts to rebuild the crank and associated parts, some parts were cheeper than Partzilla, I've sent Partzilla an email for availability of the same parts to which they are yet to respond.

I used "nutserts", once the "nutserts" were collapsed and seated I brazed them in, unfortunately I didn't take any photo's at the time, I was in to much of a rush.
