The engine still sounds a bit noisy to me (tap, tap, tap)

Have you checked your valve clearances (gap)?

Did you have any parts left when you put the engine back together? (What part did you take off the crank to line up the drive gear and clutch?)

What is "vilbrequin"? Photos might help
