1vj fuel pump

Probably don't need it at all, it's just nice to complete a set of manuals for the bikes I have.
Manuals, parts lists, assembly manuals, I have manuals and parts lists for the 43F, 2kf, but
never seen one for the 1vj also keeping my eyes open for a 2kf, and 43f assemble manuals
intend to scan them all when I can pick up a good document scanner.

43f acerbis tank turned up the other day side badges are on some sort of flexible clear plastic
will have a go at producing some when I get time

Nice work indeed.

What program do you use? Inkscape or Photoshop? and that plastic bit in the tank must be an afterthought to get around the fuel vapor problem do you think?

Hi Mezzo I use a couple of programs depending what I'm doing the first is a program called Omega which is a fairly old but still
very handy and quick to draw with, the other is Adobe Illustrator which is the bee knees and the industry standard and part of
the Adobe creative suite version CS5 at work and CS2 at home the suite includes Photoshop, Fireworks, Acrobat, indesign, Dreamweaver
ect, not much you car'nt do with it but I mainly use Illustrator Photoshop and Acrobat for what I do (signwork)
Inkscape looked pretty good when I tried it a while ago, but I don't need it.

I think the tank side panels are original they have a thick adhesive on the back that looks like a strong double sided tape but as with
all adhesives, solvents (petrol in this case) will eventually soften them, mind you they were still stuck on pretty well just coming away
at the edges I expect they were reverse printed to make them a bit more durable, as you will see tanks that come up for sale mostly
have the graphics missing.

Cheers Mezz and Dave funny thing is it's exactly the same pages that I scanned must have the same
manual, still no joy finding a 1vj manual though.

Hi Bopster, I scanned the info from the XT600ZS (1986 1VJ) supplementry service manual. The 1VJ and the 3AJ use the same pump, or at least the parts look the same and so they used the same section in both manuals.

Hi Dave, 1vj supplementary service manual wow your the only person I know who has anything on the 1vj
took me ages to find the parts list (you can download it here) in the manuals section, just picked up an assembly
manual for the 1vj will scan it when it arrives and send it to Mezo so he can host it on the site.
