Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was one of the
most prosperous in the world.. We had absolutely no national debt, had a
large middle class, and Mum stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the "Hell" happened? Can you spell ’ lying parasitic politicians wasting our money’ ?

While I was checking prices for my gears etc at the dealers yesterday I cross referenced the parts from 3TB to the 3AJ, the gears were exactly the same numbers, but the shafts were different & the 3AJ shaft was £20 more expensive, the con rods were also different numbers & the 3AJ one was a little bit cheaper... Anyone know why, surely they're the same

Myabe the conrods are different, the 3AJ rod has spacers each side of the big end in the crank, 3TB one doesn't

Hi Geoff, There is a difference and you have just spotted it. The 3Aj rod is 20mm wide at the big end and uses 2 x 1.0mm spacers. The later rod is 22mm wide and uses no spacers. The bearing is also 22mm wide (slightly stronger). If you are not doing the Paris/Dakar and flogging the crap out of it, the earlier parts are fine.

I dont know the answer yet, but I will do some research.
The overall width of the 3tb engine is narrower and that may have something to do with it.
Are the sprocket attaching methods the same?

Just looked on Boats.net, and this shaft is used for all models from 1990 to 1995.
