Are you using them "Pyramid" fork seals Dan?

I have learnt my lesson with Pyramid parts and not to touch them with a barge pole. The first set where pyramid fork seals and they where worse than the leaky ones I removed. The set, I have in now are Japanese made after market ones and they where very tough and tight to put in. I need one of those special fork seal tools.

I am going to place and order with boats and get a Yamaha fork seal set.
Bacon and eggs...A day's work for a chicken, a lifetime commitment for a pig.

All my mates in the UK had super reliable jappers & there was me on my old two valve Ducati, always breaking down on me
and i spent most of the time working on it, they were forever saying "sell that bag of shite & get a real bike" never, never i said. smile:

I guess if your lucky you can have both modern bike for reliability/riding & and an old one for working on just for the (erm) fun of it. slywink:

I am still waiting, waiting for the good times. I cannot remember any good times with this rebuild.

The good times will happen when you ride your bike to a meeting & everyone is crowded round your bike saying "i wish this was my bike" :rtfi:

I found this with my old Ducati, my mates had the latest Ducati`s at the time (916`s) and there was me with my old SS (but tricked SS)
and out of all the bikes everyone used to pull out the phones & snap a pic of my bike, not the latest 916`s or ZX7R`s my old 900SS. :biggrin:

If your 34L was sat next to the latest S10 nobody would give the new one a second glance, they would all be crowded round yours looking at the detail.

You are so right Mezo, don't sell your bike Dan. I only have two bikes love em both, want more and the missus can't understand why, to quote "you can only ride one at a time". Gees you need a classic traily, a good off road woods bike and a decent road bike at least!

maybe you should mention that classic/collectable bikes go up in value, "an investment in our future" :biggrin:
