Not much progress today. Had to mow the lawns and other domestic duties

Did manage a small window of time while the boss was out shopping!
Took the tyre off the rear wheel NO WHEEL Cancer I am sure Mezo was losing sleep waiting for the news. The wheel is good so I gave it a good clean and polish before rain drove me into the shed.



Decided to have a go at the side covers. I had thought they were both a bit rough and bought one from Germany last week. Now on looking at them again I have bought the wrong one! The left one after a good clean,cut and polish (and removing old stickers) has come up like new!(I bought a left one from Germany !)



The RHS has had a "pop rivet repair:" so I have sanded it down and will see how it looks after a paint job

Lucky with that wheel Burnieboy,the 34L came out with special heavy duty rims made by DID, they are much thicker in the sides where the bead is held compared to the puny tagosako XT600 rims. The front for some reason is usually the worst offender for corrosion.

Well.... I bid and won a good LHS cover from Germany. (to replace the broken one) I just got ballsed-up as the broken one I have is the right one !! So I now have 2 good left covers and still one broken but repaired right cover. No drama, I will paint it and if I get an attack of the "Tommy-Ten" need for perfection I can buy one from CMSNL!!

Made some small progress today: Cleaned, wire brushed, sanded and primed the frame:



Lots of mud and oil to remove



Then some etch primer



Painting was stopped as the eviening was getting cool and my daughter found our local Tawny Frogmouth dead on the back deck RIP Tawny (hope he didnt die of paint fumes!!!! (OS members will have to Google this Aussie bird!)
