You will encounter 2 problems with ebay.de some dont take paypal but ship international. Or some take paypal and don“t ship abroad!!!!!! And other do both.....You need to be persitant.Ask and offer them the paypal fees on your cost if the part is cheap.I do that all time with excellent results.
Good luck!

It apparently sold today, if that what "beendent" means in Greman?

As for the UPS account, I can use my work account for having stuff shipped to, how would that work, do a call out for them to pickup from the sellers place?

dang another full motor, http://www.ebay.de/itm/Yamaha-XT600E-XT ... 35c4b1c619, if only I had enough $$ right now, I NEED that bottom end!!

Exactly that.
You can get them to collect or get the guy to drop at a depot.

Bought a used crank. The one I posted before was available to ship internationally and it was the right 3TB crank. It was a bit pricey with shipping but i'm just glad to get this engine out of a shop and back into a frame.

Glad you found one Scottie.... all of mine have damaged threads because of idiot bodgers who've tried & failed to get the flywheel off.....

You've seen the first one that I posted earlier in your thread, this is another...

Image

I pulled my half on 4PT engine out of the box & found this......(god knows what's happened here, but the bolts that fasten the flywheel to the starter gear were
missing, so they've obviously tried & failed to get it off).... :flogging:

Image

I got the flywheel of in a half hour....

Fitted puller....

Image

Image

Tightened the puller on... very tight, poured a kettle full of boiling water on.....

Tightened it a bit more & it came off.... no probs....

So the 4PT looks like the easiest one to fix, just needs a new thread cutting & a nut, you're still welcome to it if you need it...

I do have another 3AJ bottom end but I don't really want to strip this one, got enough parts laid around the place & I need a crank for Tenere 4 anyway..

What is the puller you use? I would like to buy one but I've had problems with them snapping due to the the force of tightening the nut down. They were made of cheap composite metal, not solid steel. I'd like to find one made of solid steel.

Mine is a fairly cheap universal puller from Halfords.... modified slightly to fit the XT flywheel...

I've stripped 7 or 8 now with no problems....

Well it's finally happened. My bike is up and running again! After 7 months of waiting on the world's slowest mechanic to replace the crankshaft, he finally finished the work (with a little supervision to do it right) and yesterday I rode it for the first time!

I had taken it home to start for the first time but because he put the shift shaft back in the bike incorrectly, I couldn't downshift. So we had to take it apart again and reset it. It's just as difficult to start as ever. So much compression. And because of the kick start only aspect of it from now on (unless I replace the cases), it's always going to be tough. My choke on the dash doesn't stay engaged if I let go of the knob so it's kind of a pain. But it starts. And runs. And doesn't make awful clanking noises. And that's all I care about right now. :star:

I'm going to replace the indicators and put both mirrors on. The front fairing still needs paint and stickers and the tank leaks through a hole at the top. The frame needs to be tapped where the skid plate mounts, and the engine cover paint is wearing off. I could nitpick this thing to death but for now I'm going to break it in and ride it, since all I've been doing for the past 1.5 years is nitpicking it. :oilleak:
