I have the same midrange rpm stumble and It also happened after the top end rebuild so I assume my cams might also be out half a tooth as you say. Just not sure which way. I've tried everything with the carb, shims, jets, etc and it only made things worse. I've attached the picture what I have right now. The mark is at the same position for intake and exhaust cam. Do you know where should I try to have the alignment make at?
