That's a 2001, but they are all very similar even down to the calipers.
The YZ front end is in a different league of stiffness and strength from the standard front end, easily capable IMHO.
I need to fashion some lock stops though, probably on frame.

Got some bits and pieces done, working on the electrics at the moment, and a slate wall which the observant will have noticed in the background.
Got the following done:
Black ceramic coated forks in.
Blue mudguard extender to match the tank speed blocks, I'll use black head pop rivets.
New Acerbis Elba headlight, I'll probably remove the yellow decal and leave it white or might go OCD and get a blue one to match.
Over size disc is fitted and rebuilt caliper although it needs bleeding.
The rear wheel has a new Renthal sprocket anodised black.
Rear carrier now fitted, finished in satin black powder. It'll probably end up with Kriega bag on it.

View of the Elba front head light unit and newly refinished blue mudguard extender.

Left hand side with new seat latch, I don't really want a key as I'm going keyless ignition, I'll have to work that out later.
Small LED indicator as well which blends in nicely and shouldn't get damaged easily.

Right hand side with latch from Andy, thanks fella, and small LED indicator.
I've gone with Barkbusters as hand guards so I can integrate the indicators, and maybe side lights into the guard.
More on that later....

I think the Elba looks sufficiently in keeping with the rest of it.
I was concerned the Dual and Baja designs type would be a mismatch with the retro vibe.

The lip turned out (well worth the effort) it looks so much more authentic especially as you have matching black rivets, small details like that are what i like, nice one.

The yellow number board is growing on me too, I think if I did the side number boards in yellow and swapped the swing arm decal for a yellow one it would look quite good.
