Now work on the bike:
Triple clamps are fitted,the steel ID plaque on front too.
Work on polishing the last batch of steel parts from carburator and monocross is done for galvanizing!
Will start on the wire harness.
No pictures as my loader for the camera is dead.New one will be here this week,damn!

As you know the lower bearing has no seal?So Javier investigate a little and found one perfect fitting one for that bearing.Its a Honda spare and fits perfect!

So got a new battery loader for the camera......here todays pictures.
Starting to put finished stuff from diferent stages.Powder coated parts,galvanized etc.
Here frame looks at Dakar motos........

So here the oil tank been sprayed once more with gloss high temp paint again.The last 3rd layer.Looks very good to me.It was very coroded externaly but not in deepness but all over.....


And at last the original galvanized connectors where also overpaint!Its imposible to regalvanized those!

Monday got the TT600 exhaust from USA! It was in mint condition,beside a bit of dirt.No rust,no dents or damage!Look how it looks now.Painted with Rust Oleum exhaust paint(2000 Farh!!!!)

Now back to the last 2 weeks work.Cleaned and handsanded both engine and oilfilter covers.I used those foam based sanding sheets from 3M.They go from extrafine to medium.I cleaned all very well and then paint it in several aplications with Rust oleum 900 Farh gloss engine paint.
Most parts had little surface dents or dameges.....so its well overpainted but has 26 years.......

I also noticed that many parts on the magnesium edge where corroded and looked like gruyere cheese!So i used my dremmel and removed with a diamond tool all those untill i got a much more smoother and flater surface.Most are where the bolts are located.

Also cleaned the small link that is usualy galvanized.I liked more to paint it with aluminum Krylon paint.3 layers,then cristal laquier to seal it.Its very hard paint!Very smooth too.

Here the bash plate polished by hand(3M foam sanding sheet fine grain) and then also sealed with clear laquier.
