I´m still preparing my Tenere.
I did put a 3AJ cylinder and a 2KF head on the old 34L engine.
This is how far I am at the moment .... and I have a problem:
First I thought: " Ouuuh, I forgot to spray the parts in black... but now I like it. Looks a little diffrent. But Ok.
(The original silver is still in good shape, so why distroy it?)
The head had no autodeko. (Must be from an elektric start model)
But you can popp out a plasticthingy put in the autodeko from the 34 L.
On the valvecover there is no ventlilation.
There is a tube from the airbox coming and sucking on the valvecover to avoid to much pressure in the engine.
And again: Popp out a metalplug and hammer in the little tube from the 34L (great hint from the guys here:
http://www.xt-board.de/)
I would have never thougt of that until I had that tube in my hand...
Did you ever notice that the camshaftchain does not run totally on the sprockets?
I compared that to the old TT stuff I have.
Strange...
And here is my problem:
If the markings on the camsprockets are right, then the markings on the crank don´t match (just half a tooth)
If I then put the chain one tooth diffrent... the markings on the crank wanders to the otherside...
but still half a tooth out of correspond.

Which setting shall I take?
Olli
PS: Do you really take the valvecover off after 1000 Km to check if the bolts have the right torque?
