So this bike is fitted with the 3TB engine, which I've started another thread detailing the strip down.... the previous owner had the bike for 7 or 8 months & couldn't get it started, he bought 2 new ign switches 3AJ & 3TB & also 2 wiring harnesses... loads of other bits with it too... he just got fed up with it... I must admit its a bit of a heap... I've stripped it down but won't be starting on this one till the other two are finished....

Forgot to mention.... on Tenere 2 the exhaust had been blowing for some time & the hot gases had melted a hole in the side panel & right through the seat...... the guy had fitted a new tail pipe before I got it, I sold that on ebay...

CARILLIO ROD,

BALANCED CRANK.

ALL NEW BEARINGS THOUGH OUT,

has not done that much work,,its only had about 40 hours of use,,i will be keeping the clutch basket and the flywheel..

This is a very strong bottom end and would make a good base for a 101mm top end,, i ran it with a 98.5 piston and a bob farmham head,,and it was quick

and the bottom end was never under any stress,,

hi,,this is a head for a srx 600 prefix 1JK.

it was flowed ported and had the valves recut to 3 angels. this removes any valve gas dwell time,,so its a bit like have a bigger cam shaft but with out the tick over or heat problems,

Its two matching parts and the bearing faces for the cam shaft are sweet,, very low use..may be less than 40 hours,,

Match this to a big bore set of header pipes and a good set of carbs and a over bored cyclinder and you have a single to rock with,,

Hope so.... should be, Martin Sweet is the engine builder for the MZ racing team. they use XT engines so he should know what he's doing .....


I've been waiting three weeks for fork gaiters/boots for Tenere 2... I got some off ebay but they were shit.... so I ordered some off that Maico guy in New York.... (remember him Mezo) ... anyway had a card in my postbox yesterday the postman didnt deliver em cos he couldn't get them in the letter box... so I had to go pick em up at the sorting office, 20 miles away.... so off I went tonight ... & guess what... yeah they've fucking lost 'em....aaaarrrrgggghhhhh bastids..

The crap gaiters came from a seller called p-k-n.... the good seller is rpmmagicat, you sent me a link to him last year.....
