that quote's at the cheaper end of the scale :bigeek:
i thinking i'll buy the spokes over the net and have a go myself

more wheel quotes

$155 per wheel for stainless spokes
$150 per wheel relace
:bigeek:
seems to be the going rate in most of the shops around here :pissed:
might just have a go at cleaning and painting the spokes and hubs see how they look

Get your spokes and have a go Dan.You could take one out at a time and replace it one by one. There are also some good vids on you tube, do your worst wheel first, for the price of a set of spokes you will have a good wheel. If you fuck up, it will only cost you another $150, and a lesson well learned. Take loads of pics though so myself and everyone else will know how to do it!

not a bad idea, take out few spokes so i can order the correct length ect, take lots of photo's of the spoke pattern, fuck it i'm game :bat:

while i'm waiting for the spokes i hopefully get this motor sorted out, got myself a USB powered endoscope and had a look in the motor can't see any valves staying open, nothing seems out of place i put the camera in and turned over the motor by hand watched the valves open close ect, i also pulled the plugs turned on the ignition and turn it over by hand to see when the spark plug fires, it looks like it fires before the inlet valves are shut, could the ignition timing be out of whack???
i've ordered a workshop manual :book:
that may help

:confetti: :confetti:  :funkynanna:
it's ALIVE HA HA HA HAAAAAARR
read lots of forums and all basically came down to a fucked CDI, but when i swapped mine around it still started on rear cylinder and still had spark at all the spark plugs, it also said that the tacho won't work off a stuffed CDI, mine still worked, so i started to do continuity checks on all the wires running to the CDI's and found a dud wire :headslap:
well i've checked the timing, cleaned and set the plug gaps and set the valve clearances, and i know the bike a bit better
i think i'm going to get some Image and have a :guinness: to celebrate
