If they never get you the body work you could just box up that engine and send it over to me here in america. I have the opposite problem. Complete refinished body work, but no engine!

So while I'm waiting

for the stuff for Tenere 6 and now also waiting for the bodywork on the 4MY I've decided to pull Tenere 2 apart and replace the cracked casing...

This is how I drop the engine without taking the swing arm out... 2 bolts..

Got my eBay casings vapour blasted & renewed all the bearings and seals....

The 3 screws on the output shaft clutch side bearing were an absolute bastard to get out.... someone has tried to move them with a centre punch...

... I actually thought at one point I might not manage, got it eventually

How do you remove the clutch arm roller bearings Geoff?

Or a blind bearing puller. There are three blind bearings in the left hand crank case.
There's nothing quite like vapour blast to make scabby stuff look perfect, and a lovely start for rebuilding

I have some pullers but could not find one long enough to do the bottom roller.

The blind bearings usually fall out when you heat up the case (with some encouragement) .... I've made up a tool using some bent circlip pliers for the roller bearing, but the case has to be hot.

I put all the bearings in the freezer overnight & heat the cases to replace them.

I've never changed the bottom bearing... hopefully will never have to, fuck knows how you get them out... I think if I had one knackered I'd blank it off and use 4PT case and clutch cable, etc

Hi Geoff, can't see any of the pics? but my question is how did you go about getting those 3 screws out ? L have the same problem
