Anybody relocated the oil cooler from under the left hand of fuel tank to under the headlight?

Like the thinking but bad idea in my opinion. How will the pipes flex enough to move with the forks etc. It complicates the headstock??

Honda XRs did this for years. I actually have a honda one in my spare parts box. its a semi-circular oilcooler and mounts to the headtube part of frame clear of the forks, so no twisting.
The things to consider with installing one would be:
-XR oil cooler is smaller(but gets more direct air).
-more hot air directed under the tank which will heat fuel and airbox on some tenere models
-oil pump pressure good enough to push oil further and higher?
-how to mount to frame?
-usual plumbing issues.

Ah understood so mounting like the 3aj fairing fitting. I know you are producing a special so you have options. Have you considered metal pipe work with hoses for the final union.
These could follow the frame.

Good point about the oil pump the 3aj pump would handle it. The 3TB are oil in the frame at the same level.

I've been trying to inspire my self (time wasting) looking at old Dakar works Yamahas, lots of them have the cooler under the light.
It's the factory desert bike look I'm after.
I'll probably source an after market one for a precise fit in the grill area below the light.
The hydraulic piping shouldn't be an issue, just flexible hose extensions from modified rigid pipe.
Moving the oil cooler and cutting the lower half of the front mudguard off will massively improve air flow and cooling around the engine.
She's already got a 3AJ engine so moving the oil should be fine, and it's not like I'm doubling the capacity or distance the oil has to flow.
