XT 550 Rebuild 1

Well it is nice to be first on the thread, no pics yet so I thought I would put a couple in. This is my bike that I rebuilt last year to get myself bike into riding after a 18 year hiatus.

Well thanks guys, i have started on my next XT so i will be posting those pics shortly.

Your tank came up very nicely - did you do that yourself or get a pro to do it?

I called in a few favours, one from our sister company that does industrial painting and one from a sign manufacturer next door, which worked out pretty good. I will probably do something similar for my next bike that I am doing now!

That's what I wanted to hear - I don't fancy bodging it myself when the time comes to do my tank, so will get somebody who knows what they're doing!
