Carburetor rebuild: is it supposed to be a washer here?

Post by kissedin »

I thought i had the proper service manual and schematic for my bike (xtz660 1998). But there is no picture or mentioning of the linkage between primary and secondary carburetor.

So now I need advice wether it is supposed to sit a nylon washer on the throttle axle on the secondary carb. I also would like to know a part number for the two seals on this axle.

Here is a picture of my carb:

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately I have seen that schematic multiple times. Problem is that it does not show the axle that goes into the secondary carb. It shows part number 50, which is connected to this axle, but not what is behind.

Therefore the schematic does not answear any of my two questions.

I've found a good picture of anpther carb and what it looks like; it should be a washer on the axle.

Hello,

I confirm that there is a washer in the axle and also 2 seals! Unfortunately, there is no part number for them.
My seals are damaged, do you guys found any solution to that?
Thank you
