Anyone have a Stator they want to part with for a 43F / 34L dual pick up type.
Needs to be fully working working.
Mines finally given up.

Rare part mate, if you put the part number 34L-81410-51-00 in the search box you will see when i spot one i post it on the forum, one in 2016, then 2019 & the last one i spotted was 2020.

EDIT: Is it the main coil or the pick ups that have gone?

Kedo redoes them, completely, including pickups if they are done for.
Old parts, used for 30+ years, are likely to give up even if you happen to find one.
Refurbished ones will last a long time.

Its the pickup that has gone reading 246ohms....
Just checked the Kedo website, "ohne Impulsgeberspule" - Not the pulse generator.
Will have to just keep on looking.
Thinking about a TT600 pickup, same era, maybe same??? Any thoughts anyone?

Have a search of the forum (34L pickup) & read, loads of posts but i`m sure guys have found where you can buy pickups from, to late at night for me here in Australia to start reading.

Just an update:
Went around to my mates this morning who has a xt550 which sparks and did some measuring of his coils and took mine and compared reading, also took my Clymer manual......
Everything on my coils matched his by 2-3ohms
Results for pickup where:
Green/White to Green - 109 ohms.
Red/White to Green - 109 ohms.
Green/White to Red/White - 217ohms.
Now1 according to the Clymer manual table 3 (Electrical Section):
"Pickup coil resistance
White/red-to-white/green connectors 90-129ohms"
Also states earlier in the chapter:
"Check resistance between white/red and the white/green connector terminals. Test the connector on the pick up coil side".

Thanks to Mezo I got to reading some earlier posts on this website and came across this one from Andy, Thanks Andy:

You can measure those pickups from the connector.
This is cheap (although replacement parts are hard to find)
Basically the pickups are two coils with a common ground which lives in the middle of the 3-bay-connector.
Ohms to be expected:
Outside to center bay = 115 Ohm (both)
Outside to Outside = 230 Ohm (you measure both coils serially there)
No connection from any of the wires to ground (frame/cylinder) or only in the 6 digit kOhm range
All numbers are stated by Yamaha as plus/minus 20% at 20 °C
One coil is for low revs, one for high revs, the CDI overlays them to get sparks all over the range right. Of the low range pickup fails you still can ride home but starting is a pain.""
Clymer have mixed things up for me as I assumed reading the manual, Outside to Outside was 90-129ohms, please correct me if I a wrong and call me every name under the sun, but I think the boys at Clymer have bollocked me up there!!!
Now3 Further on from this I checked the resistance of the source coil (red to brown wire resistance) which was within specification, but then I did a couple of continuity checks and low and behold the brown wire of the Source Coil is earthing out, so this is the problem, because if its earthing out it cannot generate an electrical field to send to the CDI.
So I need the Source Coil rewinding!!!

You will get to learn the Clymer manual has quite a dew mistakes in it, many guys have commented & its caught me out in the past & is why i cross reference against the factory manual.
There is a mob in the USA who do rewinds but they are expensive, but i think rewinding in general is expensive & that`s why i kept posting links to stators i spotted as its the cheapest way (buy one as a spare) you can always flick it off later if you sell the bike.

They do different packages. Also Pickups. I had a long conversation with Lutz of Kedo about that.
Just send your stator including pickups, they will give ot to their stator guy, and he will check and get back to you.
Then they fix what is necessary.
You then get it back with warranty - but it comes with a price tag for sure.

Good to know about Kedo being able to replace the Pick-up coils.
Founds a fella on ebay in the uk who rewinds the source coil for £80 quid all in.
Looks like he does the charging coils too.
