I have recently purchased a 2002 XT600E which came with a 58l Givi Trekker Outback top box and I am looking for suggestions on a cover that will completely cover the bike to the ground.

Also I would like to ask where the best place is to lock the bike with a chain, as I am struggling to find a decent place that is not the back wheel/swing arm.

Oxford do tall adventure bike covers. Have one on the T7 which is massive compared to my 1VJ.
As for locking. Always find a gap in the frame. If the chain is too big, use one of the ungrindable d locks between chain and frame.
Look at litelock.

Frame to something immovable, otherwise they can just lift it into a van. Also park it somewhere open and visible and ideally where several points from which it can be approached. A cover also worth using . At end of the day though impossible to stop tge determined thief who has taken a fancy to your pride and joy.

Managed to find a spot on the frame finally but will struggle when I upgrade my chain so I will be definitely be using your idea, thank you very much!

The fear of having it stolen is causing me plenty of anxiety. Have a chain on the frame, disc lock on the back disc, thick cable on the front wheel to the engine guard (will be replaced with current chain when upgrading current one) and a cover which is a bit too small. Motion activated alarm system and subscription tracker on the way.
