The UK NEC Classic bike auction is always a good indicator of current values and this nice looking 600 sold for what I think is quite a low price of £3.4k.
Auction was on Nov 22th 2023

Re: 1989 XT600 3AJ sold at auction for £3,417
It's usually the case that cosmetically poor vehicles don't do well at auction, no matter how mechanically good they are.
The opposite is also true, especially of older classic bikes, whereby a lot of restorations are only cosmetic and it's the immaculate appearance that gets the high prices.
There are also quite a lot of 3AJs about.
Personally I wouldn't sell any classic vehicle at auction the way things are at present, unless I really wanted to get rid of it.

Hi that was my bike I had some potential interest of this forum but nothing transpired and I needed it gone for space. It did not actually sell at auction the guy who purchased my Honda XL600LM bought it after the auction. Bizzarely the Honda XL 600's are selling way above the XT600's when oth are equally as good as each other.
