hello
i have two engines, one is a 34K the other il 34L

I found them partially disassembled, so i cannot say where this device is coming from

in one there was mounted the standard cap, as per exploded view i share
in the other one there was mounted this kind of device. It looks a sort of pump which was taking the motion from the camshaft I assume. I would say a small oil pump, even if there attached there's a small segment of blind pipe most probably not original

anybody knows how it was working and the function of this?

Hi,

Thats the drive for the rev counter. Attaches to the cylinder head on the end of the camshaft.
