I need help (oil)

Good evening,

My name is Patricio, and I own a wonderful 1992 Yamaha XTZ 660 Ténéré. I'm reaching out for your expertise because I'm having a problem with the lubrication system. The dipstick isn't registering the oil level, and the oil is circulating around the frame and even reaching the rocker cover, so I assume the pump is working. I recently replaced the check valve behind the clutch cover, but even then, the oil doesn't stay in the frame after the engine is turned off. Has anyone else experienced something similar? The bike holds about 3 liters of oil.

I look forward to your replies.

Thank you.

P.S. I'm not English; I used Google Translate. If there are any inconsistencies, I apologize.

I have the same issue with one of mine - and replaced check valve also but still it measures low on the measure even though the oil level is correct.
I have come to the conclusion that if it is pumping around the system well so will just leave it.
Any one no of the possible cause because the bikes must be "wetsumping"

Like charliext1vj says, seems to be a widespread thing. My 1vj would do the same. I’m not worried.
Check the levels after running a short while, turning off and wait a min. Yamaha states same process for the 700 too. For peace of mind, you could start with a fresh oil fill to the amount stated in the manual.
