Hi, has anyone built a cafe racer from an xt 550? i ended up with a good roller, and had an xt600e electric-leg engine. I have some 18" road wheels on yz hubs, and thought it might be an interesting project. i will attempt to put up a pic of a mock-up i did..... cheers!

went to my local wrecker and had a dig around...... found a bloody good wheel hiding under some road wheels! even has the correct year 83 stamped in it. had a win!

The corrosion is only on the inside. outside looks fine. It is the original rim off the bike. Is there a treatment that will stop any further rot? Would like to use the rim if possible.

Hi. I have a front rim with some corrosion starting but i think the rim is still ok. is there a way to stop the corrosion continuing, or is it in the bin?
