Re: Proper sequence for an oil change 3AJ

Sorry to ask such a dumb question...just need a bit of clarification for my new to me 3AJ. I've just put a new clutch in the bike and the engine and oil tank are both completely drained. So I need to refill and start it.

I've put a litre of fresh oil in the tank...expecting it to drain into the ...

Re: Replacement Wilbers fork spring doesn't fit?

A bit weird that specs seem to be a bit all over the place. They are supposed to be 620mm, but yours are 633 and Peen's are 627. I do not recall what mine were unfortunately, but the difference in length was deffinitely substantial.

Re: FRONT FORK 'OIL LOCK PIECE' / 3GM231730000 Spindle, Taper

The oil lock piece acts as a hydraulic bump stop for the last millimeters of travel of the fork. You could assemble your forks without it if you don't plan on ever bottoming out your suspension, but such situations are not always planned. It's better to find another one and install it.

Re: Replacement Wilbers fork spring doesn't fit?

I have the same fork springs and yes they are quite difficult to install because of the extra length. Use a socket and extension on the fork cap and lean your body weight on your right arm to compress the spring. With your left hand rotate the fork tube to get the fork cap thread started. Wearing ...

OMG make new ones that fit 3AJ models, i'm pretty sure 1VJ taps are the same or very similar. 01Z3314224 is the part code.

You should probably check the condition of your starter clutch as well.

Re: Fuel tap fun

OMG makes a RH fuel tap, part code is 01Z3314224. Made in Italy, not chinese crap off eBay that breaks after a couple of rides (ask me how i know). I've fitted one to my 3DS and it works fine.

Re: Zeeltronic ignition no spark

Ok problem solved, you connect everything according to the provided diagram and you run a wire from the blue yellow wire on the 3pin terminal to ground. Everything else stays disconnected. Thank you Andy!
