So loooong story on the ex army bike, I had stored engine parts in plastic storage boxes, brand new 5th gear, cams, ect ect anyway the shed leaked and filled up the box with water ...

So to put an end to the transalp build it sat far too long and I lost interest, I sold it on to a keen young bloke hopefully he gets it finished

might have a rethink on the front end mod, there's a 20mm gap at the bottom yoke see pic

problem is the lock stops don't work :censored:
so i will machine the stem right down to the bottom yoke and make a spacer ...

i've decided the army bike will be the easiest to finish as all the parts are there so i finally split the cases

here's an example of using molasses and water 50/50 ratio

so i used a wire brush and degreaser to remove any oil and grease, put it in the molasses mix and wait
