You changed the swingarm.
Must have been difficult because of the linkage and an other shock.
Right?

Hard to see to be honest, is it an XT550 with an XT600 swingarm? :dunno:

Well it is the swinging arm, not sure if it is a 600 one but seems like a lot of work to change it!

Yes He did fit a Pro-link XR unit. My mates a big boy, He used it for "lite" trail riding and kept blowing the original shock, even after having it rebuilt by a professional ( A suspension guy with a good reputation ) He preferred the "rising rate " Pro link unit. As for fitting it I can't say it went straight in but it was fitted "quite" easily(?) Modifying the airbox was a fun experiance, the carbs needed quite a bit of "adjusting" but she runs wonderfully now although I notice he prefers his KX250 for trail riding now. The XT is back to "road" duties now.

You got to admit its differant, It works great and he doesn't have any issues with the shock, and really gets up the pureists noses

A Big Clap? :congrats: :clapping: :congrats:

By the way. His "road" bike is a S10. He's one of the causes of all this "dark-side" misbehavior.
Now that the XT600 is running (awaiting registration), Hes planning all sorts of dirty experiances. It was bad enough when I was sliding around after them on my Z1000. Now they will expect me to keep up? :nordie: Pete (annother one) always hated me "sliding" the Zed around the outside of him. I "almost" had control....(OK! so no control at all, but a lot of luck!!) :omg:
Got quite a range of toys to chase now The S10, KTM950 Adventure, KTM950 SM (a nutter!) KLR650, DR650, and my XT. Now wheres that 42nd traverse again?

And his latest mod is after the baffle blew out of the Peter Allen muffler... He found a KLX450 muffler slips straight onto the header pipe. A bit of "jiggery-pokery" with the rear mount and job done. 1/2 hour to bolt on. And he picked up the standard KLX muffler (stainless) dirty cheap ($30) because the owner was upgrading to a aftermarket exhaust onto his KLX.
Exhaust sounds a bit "fruity" but not excessively loud, and the engine breaths easier through it. :fireball:
For a bolt on option its worth lookihg at.
