On the cases and covers, semi gloss 2 pak black on a oil/fluid resistant etch, head and barrel tech coat hi temp satin black. Went with just 2 pak because I have used it before on a car engine and ancillaries and never had a problem, I did google a bit and never found any definite dont do its, only time will tell how it works on this. I think it was your thread I got the wemoto suggestion from, the colour is not as bad as the pics make out, I think they will do, good to see you back around Geoff

Hi Jibbers,
I'm a Southern Softie down in London and my 3AJ needs a center stand, I keep it in a Safestore, Oh the shame....can you tell me where you got yours?
Following the posts regarding the kick start on the rebuild, I definately have gotten out of the shit (sorry to the Ozzies for my foul language) by using the kikker Mezzo is right, I've run out of gas on the autoroutes in France and emptied the battery trying to start the old bitch, I had David Lamberth put a kikker kit in...works fine even just to pump gas back into the carb 4-5 kicks then a press of the little grey button gets her going again.

Very nice work wish I had the time and commitment.

The centre stand came from ebay.de, one of there breakers i think, I am putting the kick starter on, just stripping down a 55w to gain the parts and ordered a new lock washer and a spring stopper, while on here, can someone remind me which way the semi sealed bearings go back into the cases?? ie: seals out and open side to the gears?? all the pictures i took on dis-assembly got lost over Christmas when the laptop hard drive went tits up

Since I have close to zero experience with the "downunders", my understanding is based on this forum and hence that their language use is far more foul than that of the British. However the guys on here might not be representative for the whole population..? Please enlighten me on these interesting cultural differences in the Anglophone world. :book:

My best tip regarding the centerstand would be the German ebay. That's where I got mine.

@Jibbers, sorry for going off topic in your thread. Please feel free to remove this post.
