Got the tank and headlight cowl base coated,next step is to give it a light rub with a scotch-brite ,apply the stickers and then clear coat.
Also fitted the chain and I used my new chain breaker from Terra-X, works bloody brilliant.I got the tyre levers and the spanner set as well, the levers have different size nut holes which you use to hold the chain breaker or undo nuts,the spanner set also slips on the end so you can undo your axles etc.
Had some trouble with the side covers, even using the plastic primer so now have applied an isolation coat which seems to have fixed the problem. Put my other tank on and had a fang around the yard,goes real nice.

Mezo first, with base coat you normally apply the clear 30 mins after the base as the base still needs to be soft for the clear to bite. This does not allow enough time to place the stickers so I let it harden then lightly rub it with the scotch brite,(the clear needs a slightly rough surface) place stickers then clear coat. Oli, I paid full price for these tools as they are the best you can get and will last a life time And Aussie made

Gave the painted bits a light rub with a scotch brite and applied the stickers and then gave it all a clear coat. The black stickers for the side covers were too big so I did not use them, I will spray the black sections with satin later as I did not know if the acrylic satin would react under the clear but pretty sure that you can spray acrylic over the clear if you understand.
The red blocks on the stickers are on a white back ground, I separated the first 2 that I put on by cutting the white out but left the rest as the white paint I used (RAL 9016) matched perfectly and they were easier to apply in one piece.
The clear coat went on perfect this time, a couple of days hardening and she is finished
The last pictures look like there bubbles or something under the red but it is just the way the picture came out.
