tightening torque for front sprocket NUT please.

does anyone know the torque setting for the large nut with lockwasher that holds the front sprocket on? its probably the same as the later xt600's. cheers.

1VJ got originally no central nut.
The sprocket is fixed with a lock-washer and two screws. The screw's torque is 10Nm.
Are you sure about the engine in your 1VJ frame. Kick and electic starter?

cheers mezo. yeah its a ivj all right. its a later one though as yamaha changed the output shaft splines (for obvious reasons it seems!!). my girlfriend has 2, one with each type of shaft. its a bugger ordering parts as theyre always listed under the 3aj or later....
