I'll start this one off..
Not quite a story of my bike, but took my xt out to Raglan (coastal surf town in New Zealand) last weekend and this guy parked up next to me on an 100% original tt500. Apparently the previous owner bought it and shelved it, he bought it a few years ago with 0 km on the clock. It's now done 4700 genuine k's. Eat you heart out, the photo does not do it justice, looks like he bought the bike yesterday from the shop.

If only more people could have done that with several of these classics . I don't think I would be able to ride it much , it'll never be "new" again and I'd want to keep it that way as long as possible. It would be my Sunday rider and a 9mm to word off any thieves. I'd also have a 3/8" logging chain wrapped around it so nobody could steal it.
