They are the adjustable ones right ? There should be a "C" clip and 4 or 5 grooves that it can go in . There will also be a little washer that probably goes under the clip when installed.

I've taken the bike apart to find this oil leak as its giving me nightmares, I can't seem to put my finger on it, I've took the oil hose off had it presure tested its fine so changed oil Seals on the gear lever and now changed oil seal on sproket, it seemed daft not to change the oil at this point, I'll take it out this bank holiday to see if that is it,
Planing a wild camping weekend at the end of May hoping it's sorted, I can't relax when I know it's not right

If you clean the motor off good and have it dry, dump flour over the whole area the leak is coming from. The leak will show up quickly.

I think Mezo had a picture of one that had a crack around that starter idler gear bearing.

I did the flower trick before, on this occasion I've taken every thing off belly pan sprocket protector, sprocket, gear lever, removed the chain out of the road, let it run for 10 min nothing not a drop, put it all back together, take it out for 10 min few drops of oil on the belly pan, must have been the sprocket oil seal, I'll find out tomorrow
