Stiffer front suspension

I'm not an advanced rider by any measure but I can tell the front is unnervingly soft and since im replacing those rubber protectors anyway I'm gonna replace the oil and then why not replace the springs also? I mean, you're riding in loose sand or braking on tarmac and the front just dives, do you change the springs or just the oil?

Springs are weakened over time. If they are already 10 years old, it is better to change. I advise the progressive springs.
Also I advise you to check the bushings (two rings - bearing) in the plug - they can be worn out.

If you replace the springs, make sure you get springs to suit your weight.
