Refitting airbox

Trying to remount the air box and I’m having great difficulty seating the inlets onto the carbs, can anyone out there offer some advice, I’ve had to walk away from it for the mo cos they just won’t go in.

Are you talking about the tall screen or the one with an adjustable flip at the top of the screen?

I have no experience of the latter but the MRA tall screen seems to be no different to any tall screens on offer from multiple sites. (Probably cheaper than MRA?)

I’ve since gone and bought one the higher than standard with the flip up spoiler as Louis de were offering them for 70€ down from 140€ hope it improves the wind noise,

Hi Paul, not much help but I had the same problem but can't remember how I got over it now.I do remember walking away a few times and thinking the inlet rubbers were too short.The bike is undergoing a full restoration now so I look forward to the problem recurring when I come to it!

Old n hard? Failing new ones warm them up in hot water then try to get them on quick before they cool.

I found a solution using one of the foam sleeves that you use to insulate a cold drinks can or bottle, trim the lip off the intake (hard as on mine) rubbers the lip that keeps the jubilee clip in place to mount on the carb, cut the foam sleeve for a snug fit then I zipp tied it top n bottom.
