I have an XTZ 660 from 1997 which i'm enjoying a lot. I bought it 7 months ago with supposedly 32k km. It now has 40k km and during the winter I am thinking of upgrading the front suspension. In the last months i did almost road, and i've progressively doing more and more offroad.
I'm researching about it but I still have doubts about the type of springs that best fit my use. I want to maintain the original fork so totally changing the front fork (e.g. WP from another bike) is not an option that I'm considering.
The main goal is to improve the suspension performance both on and off-road.
On-road: the well-known diving problem and also improve stability in turns;
Off-road: overall performance without losing performance in low-speed technical areas.
Doubts:
1. Progressive springs VS linear springs (pros and cons)
2. Is it possible to get springs specific for my weight (75kg)?
I already found 2 springs for it:
Wiblers: https://www.wilbers.de/shop/en/Motorcyc ... ssive.html
Wirth: https://www.wirth-federn.de/produkt/wir ... 1991-1998/
Im based in Portugal so vendors from europe are better for me.
Hope you guys can help me. Thank you :)
