Still a bloody good looking bike

Bike needs some work ----

Carb float jet probably stuck as the bike is pouring gas out the overflow tube after running.

Started at the tank and drained it. There is something rattling around in there, but cannot get it out when tipped upside down. The baffle seems to have come unfixed from bottom of tank, but the sound is something else....

I will have a go tonight after work and take a close look with a flashlight to see if I can see what it is --- in the meantime, any ideas??

Next step is to take carbs off and give them a clean.

Also petcock continues to let fuel out when in off position....
Will clean and or rebuild if needed.
As this is going to be a rebuild, any ideas on replacement petcock as part seems to be obsolete....

It's possible that the petcock filters have detached inside the tank and that's what is rattling around. Measure the distance across the two bolts that thread into the tank and post it here. It's possible that the petcock is a part that was used on future bikes with slight modifications.

Turns out the baffle was loose and there was a small piece of metal that had come loose from its spot weld. I said "screw it" and pulled the baffle out. I found it was also loose from its front attachment point as well.....
Perhaps not the best solution, but that was the call I made at the time...
The TT 41 Litre tank for my 1100 has no baffle so I figured from a safety point of view I can live with...
Maybe an engineering design to get the fuel to the petcock as well, but what is done is done.

I also figure a tank sealant will adhere better without the baffle - hard to say.

The petcock's straws were fine, although I will be replacing them.
