Today I cleaned out a varnished carb, removed the fuel pump, and shook out the cobwebs from a bike that has been sitting for a little too long. When you have too many bikes not every one gets ridden as much as they should.

Eventually I plan to swap rims with my 85' XT600 that have the knobby dirt tires on them right now and truck the bike down to the trailhead in June. Some friends want to ride the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route from the 4 Corners area of the American southwest and head into the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. (https://ridebdr.com/cobdr/) Lots of big mountain passes and beautiful scenery. Here's the GIS map of the route if you want to zoom around and have some fun from afar. Still need to change the clutch, oil, and decide if I want to ride without the outrageously bulky 3AJ lookalike fairing on the 1VJ or the Givi red hard cases. Previous owner was a US service member in Germany and must have bought all of the most expensive accessories for the bike before they shipped it to the states. Looks good but rides heavy.
