Weighs less than stock because the kickstart shaft broke yesterday on the look lap of a 3hr cross country race.
I'll have to get it on some scales some time.
Not many around even though they bought them in to NZ from 1985-2000.
A couple of mods first up...
Fat bars and Trailtech Vapor...
Steekers...
Tenere front guard and custom 7cm higher seat...
New bash plate and hand guards...
Cleaned up the front caliper pistons and seals and actually got some stopping power out of the little bugger.
1 piston was jammed.
I'll have to get it on some scales some time.

The mudguard is off a Tenere 600 of course.
This one to be precise...
There's some stop drilled holes in it but when it goes I'll put the flashing on the 350 guard which has dimples ready to mount it and has vents in the back too.
The old OEM hand guards are in my junk box. Terrible things. Don't even stop gorse.

She's poodling around on her son's DR250 whilst waiting on a stator for her DR350.
Nothing here gets binned.
Just thrown into a bin with all the other useless bits that may be useful some day.

One short one out, one longer one in...
The only issue is, I obviously didn't clean the case and side cover gasket surfaces well enough.
It's only a weep so not too worried yet.
Matches the one on the other side from the crank main roller bearing.
Who needs magnesium side cases when you can have plastic...
Also tried some knobblies I thought may help at the 3-hour cross country race the other weekend.
They went very well for very cheap tyres.
Now there's one of these on the back...

Dunlop d801 Competition Trials Tyre.
It's last competition was in about 2006. 1 plug in a hole and one patch where there's a 44 magnum exit wound in the carcass.
Every knob base is cracked all around, and the knobs are all very rounded.
But still as soft as warm chewing gum.
It tractors everywhere.
Try to do a little burnout on wet grass? Nope. Bit of a shock to the system when it just drove. Had a couple of things in mind I thought it may do but that wasn't one of them
200km on it now and me likey. Grips without ripping up the terrain. Tested so far in: Rocks, shale, gravel, wet clay, grass, seal...
Next rear is going to be a Pirelli MT43 trials and it's going to stay on for the next x-country
