Well it took some time but i did end up buying a Tenere , not quite the early model i wanted but
mostly there. The cdi was missing and it hadnt been run from what i was told for about 10 years,
i have found a cdi unit and now have a spark, unfortunately all the throttle and choke cables are seized
so that will be the main thing to get them freed up and get it running, the tank is dented and the panels
aand front mudguard is cracked so major repairs there.

The electric start works as do the lights though so thats a bonus.

Oh dear,it's the just one more stage,exactly where I am,no more Xts,no more yzs,no more rds.....but I'm thinking maybe a tdr250 if I can find one in uk or France for less a monumental amount of money...
I was thinking maybe an xt500 but prices are through the roof same as Lcs have gone....so it's looking like I'm on the hunt for the original supermoto bike...somewhere sabotage my eBay account quickly...

Go for an XT500 and blow the budget.

If id give my tip for the future, id be tucking away all of them 2 strokers. :rtfi:

RD`s, KH`s anything that burns that obnoxious foul oil is only going up in value, RD250, RD350 & 500`s would be top of the list.

Remember old uncle Mez gave you the tip off. :biggrin:
