Looks very well built like the footpegs Bosley, would be nice if that temperature reading was the oil temperature.
It would not be hard to do, put a sender on the underside of the oil tank like this one i have marked with the blue arrow.

Well it should be just over two litres Rod, thats the capacity of the bike & its a dry sump so the oil stays in that tank (i think)
Are you thinking sub tank for fuel? so just under three litres. ??
