Mezo had already partialy dismantled his fleet and we spent some time collecting the parts from '620'

Managed to gather all the parts and cram them on to the trailer with the 2 1vjs

While Biney kept the chicks under control!!!

I have ordered a number of parts for the resto, front guard, rear guard, master cylinder, carb kit, front calliper kit, pack rack, headlight cowl, sprokets and chain. Next is to start on the motor. Mezo had not ever run the motor, it is as is with out any real history, so last Friday went down to the Actionman cave and we took to top off.

Also bought a USB endoscope from Ebay ($12!!!!) this is to look in the gearbox and 5th gear etc, with out having to split the crackcase. It is also very handy for some back yard gynocology or even looking up your our arse should you be bored

Some carbon build up around the valve seats

A poor phone camera shot down the bore(some wear and som verticle scoring (the bore is std and not yet rebored)

Got the head barrel and rocker box blasted (thankyou Action man)

Then a quick hone. You all be thinking why aren't you doing a re bore? Well this is a bit of a test to demonstrate the Actionman philosophy that to many re-bores are done when only new rings and a hone will give you many more happy miles

Some of my parts have arrived (you will see I have already fitted the Yamaha cover to the "copy" mastercylinder yet to be painted)

Next to be attacked was the carby. It had been filled with some very stale petrol and both slides were siezed.

Some hours later (in fact a few nights) I have managed to fully clean and rebuild, using alot of patients and an Aldi Dremel.

Next was to set the float level..... had 3 goes on the bench to get it to the 7mm specification.

With the fading light I had left, I peeled the old tyre from the front rim. Generaly good shape but did discover some of the dreaded wheel cancer around the valve stem hole !!!. Will get stuck into it with a wire brush to see how deep it goes!! Have to wait till next weekend .

Big box from Germany arrived to night.

Yes 2 front guards (one for Actionman)

Stay tuned, I am waiting on a new gudgeon to reasseble the top end.

I had looked but couldnt find them on CMNSL. Have looked now and found it using 34l to search!!!!! Also rear is only 18.50. I notice some side covers without images. Do you know if they are left and right?
